WHEN CAN I CHECK-IN AND OUT?
Check-in: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Check-out: until 10:00 AM
Arriving outside these hours? Please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.
CAN I HAVE AN EARLY CHECK-IN?
Sure! Early check-in is possible from 1:00 PM upon request (R300/room). Check-in before 12h00 requires an extra night's charge and subject to availability.
CAN I CHECK IN AFTER CLOSURE OF THE RECEPTION?
Of course! Arriving after 6:00 PM? Please notify us in advance via email (benny@familyboardnstay.com) or the booking comments. Make sure to complete the online check-in before arrival.
I WOULD LOVE TO CHECK OUT LATER...
Late check-out until 11:00 AM can be requested at R150/room. Leaving after 12:00 PM will result in a full extra night charge.
WHAT TIME CAN I HAVE BREAKFAST?
Our vegan breakfast buffet is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
VEGAN BREAKFAST BUFFET, WHAT TO EXPECT?
Our vegan breakfast is seasonal, locally sourced, and homemade — nourishing for body and soul from the earth. It’s dairy-free and suitable for lactose-intolerant guests. Please inform us in advance of any allergies or intolerances, so that we can arrange this for you.
If your request is not feasible for us, we count on your understanding, but we are happy to see what we can do for you.
DO YOU SERVE BEVERAGES AT THE GUESTHOUSE?
Absolutely! You’ll find a self-service honesty fridge with non-alcoholic drinks on the ground floor. Just note what you take and pay at check-out. Water is free — bring a refillable bottle!
HOW ABOUT THE PAYMENT?
All our prices are for overnight stay including breakfast. Your stay must be fully paid before arrival. By booking at Family Board N Stay, you accept our terms & conditions and house rules.
Any remarks or changes on your invoice can be made until the moment of check-out. Afterwards, our system will no longer allow this, which makes changes no longer possible.
PRICING
All our prices are in South African Rand (ZAR), even if your browser or language settings temporarily display a different currency.
IS THERE WIFI?
Yes! Free WiFi is available throughout your stay.
WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
Free parking is available in the side street. You can use the driveway when unloading luggage.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
We love animals but we decided not to allow them in the guesthouse.
WHAT IF YOUR STAY NEEDS TO BE CANCELLED?
Please check our cancellation policy.
CAN WE SHARE A ROOM WITH OUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS?
Absolutely! Our guesthouse has 4 rooms: Moana and Ahi are located on the ground floor, while Tafari and Maui are upstairs.
Moana and Tafari have a queen-size bed and accommodate up to 2 guests.
Ahi and Maui include both a queen-size bed and a bunk bed, making them perfect for 2 to 4 guests.
A baby cot (for children up to 3 years) can be added on request in all rooms except Moana.
For families with children, the Ahi and Maui rooms are a great fit. If you're a larger family or group of friends, booking Tafari and Maui together gives you exclusive access to the first floor — perfect for those who want to stay close but still enjoy some privacy.
